2.1. This Website is made available free of charge and you may make use of the Website as a guest or a registered user. Use of the Website includes accessing, browsing and registering to use the Website and booking a training course with one of our training providers (“Providers”).

2.2. We may revise these Terms of Use at any time by amending this page. Please check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we make, as they are binding on you.

2.3. Access to our Website is permitted on a temporary basis and you acknowledge that we may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of the Website without notice. We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage to you whether direct or indirect if for any reason the Website / its content is unavailable or inaccurate at any time or for any period. We do not guarantee that our Website, or any content on it, will always be available or accurate or that access to it will always be uninterrupted.

2.4. You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to the Website and for ensuring that all persons who access the Website through your internet connection are aware of these Terms of Use and any other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.

5. Registration for training courses

5.1. You may register for certain training courses on this Website. These training courses and information (including availability information) regarding such training courses contained on this Website, are provided by our third party Providers. We are a conduit for registration on such training courses, information and for bookings made and subject to the liability provisions in paragraph 11 below have no responsibility or liability for such registration, information, bookings, content of courses, availability of courses or anything else to do with such training courses. The relevant Provider shall confirm to you when the place is booked and whether there is availability when you register for a training course on this website.

6. Your account and password

6.1 If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.

6.2 We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these Terms of Use or otherwise at our general discretion.

9.2 We assume no responsibility for the content of other websites linked to the Website. Such links should not be interpreted as endorsement by us of those linked websites. We will not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise as a result of your use of them.

10. Viruses

10.1 You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and operating and/or hardware platforms in order to access the Website. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to use your own virus protection software. We do not guarantee that the Website will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.

10.2 You must not misuse the Website by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. This includes information you provide when you register to use our site, subscribe to our service, search for a training course, book a course via our Website, information you provide to recruitment companies, accountants, seminar co-ordinators and when you report a problem with our site and other information you provide us. The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, financial and credit card information in the event you choose to activate the reminder service for your certificate renewals, personal description, training course needs and requirements, current employer, job role, home airport and number of years’ experience.
  • Information we collect about you. With regard to each of your visits to our site we may automatically collect the following information:
    • technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;
    • information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time); courses you viewed or searched for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our customer service number.
  • Information we receive from other sources. We work closely with third parties (including, for example, Providers, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, credit reference agencies, recruitment companies, accountants, seminar co-ordinators and other third parties) and may receive information about you from them.

12.4 Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website. A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we put on your computer if you agree. These cookies allow us to distinguish you from other users of our website, which helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site. If you are an existing registered user, we will only contact you by electronic means (e-mail or SMS) with information about training courses or Providers similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale or negotiations of a sale to you. If you are a new customer, and where we permit selected third parties to use your data, we (or they) will contact you by electronic means only if you have consented to this. If you do not want us to use your data in this way, or to pass your details on to third parties for marketing purposes, please do not tick the relevant box situated on the form on which we collect your data (i.e. the relevant order form or registration form);
    • to notify you about changes to our service;
    • to ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
  • Information we collect about you. We will use this information:
    • to administer our site and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;
    • to use, and collate on an anonymised basis to inform us and our Providers about the types of users of our Website, assess demand for training courses, numbers of users and other anonymous aggregated statistics that are useful to our Providers and business parties.

We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience].

14. General Provisions

You hereby acknowledge and agree that the Scottish Courts will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms of Use or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) although we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these conditions in your country of residence or any other relevant country.
